Functional Health Coaching

In order to be a whole, thriving, vital human being, there needs to be a resonance between all of our body systems. To bring that harmony into being we often need to work in areas that we understand are getting in our way (losing that 20+ pounds from the last 2 years, the anxiety we feel from life stress, the pain we feel from chronic illness, the brain fog from chemo), and exploring what's underneath to be able to fully heal. Having a guide and a defined path vastly improves the probability of arriving at our destination. Coaching is a collaboration that uses tools, exercises, education, practice, planning, assessment and tracking to improve your health, and life satisfaction. The tools I employ include functional nutrition, mindfulness based practices, relaxation techniques, education on stress, manual and structural therapies, and sleep hygiene, to name a few. This is a subscription based service with limited availability. New clients are accepted each January and July. If you are curious to explore this option, contact me directly for a complimentary discovery session.

Lymphatic Drainage

60 minutes: $170

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially swollen areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system. As both a preventative and remedial technique, Lymphatic Drainage can be used for a wide range of purposes including faster recovery from injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from lymphedema, decreasing pain and discomfort from lipedema, encouraging parasympathetic response (activating the rest and digest portion of your nervous system), and strengthened resistance to illness.

Scar rehabilitation

60 minutes: $170
90 minutes: $225

While scars generally represent an event, a moment in time, they are made of tissue that changes over time. If not attended to they can create tension and restriction that can influence range of motion, how you hold your body in space, the capacity you have to breath, the way you walk, pain, lack of sensation, and often a self consciousness around their appearance. This doesn't have to be the case. Whether a scar is 5 months old or 20 years old, less than an inch or over a foot long, it can often be improved to be more functional, with improved sensation and pliability increasing the health of the tissue.

Myofascial Massage

60 minutes: $170
90 minutes: $225

Myofascial massage is a technique used to treat injuries and discomfort, reducing pain and increasing range of motion. Myofascial massage differs from other types of massage in that it targets the fascia - the membrane surrounding muscles - rather than the muscle itself. Since fascia completely encases every muscle in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on your range of motion and comfort level. While other forms of massage can overlook the fascia, myofascial massage focuses specifically on releasing tension in this important membrane.

Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes: $170
90 minutes: $225

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
