About Me

I am a graduate of Cortiva Institute's 1000-hour program here in Seattle.  Concurrent with my massage training, I also completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher training at Whole Life Yoga. After graduating from massage school, I wentimage on to assist manual therapy classes at Cortiva and to be a teaching assistant for Brian Utting. My quest for knowledge continued as I went on to study oncology massage with Tracy Walton. Inspired to go further to become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, I studied with Guenter Klose of Klose Training (Vodder Technique). I expanded my knowledge around oncology and treatment recovery by submerging myself in the study of scar tissue, scar patterns, and its treatment. Shadowing multiple surgeries at the University of Washington, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to witness many of the surgeries I help people recover from; mastectomies, lumpectomies, lymph node dissection, lymph node transplants, various severe melanomas, and brain surgeries.

Inspired and mesmerized by the body’s amazing ability to heal itself, I dove further into scientific inquiry as I studied with Andrea Nakayama at the Functional Nutrition Alliance and Precision Nutrition to align functional nutrition, behavior modification, the science of sleep, breathing techniques, and mindfulness.

I use a variety of modalities in my practice, customizing each session to meet my clients needs and where they are at that moment. Sessions can include deep tissue, Swedish, structural bodywork, myofascial release, injury treatment, scar rehab, manual lymphatic drainage, functional nutrition, mindfulness, breath work, and behavior change. It is the harmony of these modalities that create a healing platform, encouraging wholeness and unity within the body systems rather than treating its parts.

This is what makes my work unique, and effective.

I came to massage and functional medicine after many years of receiving bodywork and finding the freedom in my own body after recovering from an illness that required me to learn to walk and speak clearly again. Since that time I have been fascinated with the body's ability to heal itself, managing chronic pain, and the nervous system. With a keen interest in nutrition research, behavior modification and fascial health I love the balance of integrated work that includes therapeutic treatment and release for the nervous system. My view on my work is an extension my life's purpose - simply to help people find freedom in their own bodies to live their best, fullest, most joyous life possible.
